Outdoor Model Shoot Workshop, NCAR Boulder
Details
There are two parts to this Meetup.
The first part is photographing models outdoors near the NCAR Mesa Laboratory in South Boulder on Saturday November 16. In this workshop, Jeff will teach us how to use off camera studio flash to take photos of the models with the Flatirons in the background. He will book the models and provide the flash equipment. Participants must have a camera with a hot shoe and be familiar with operating their camera in manual mode (i.e., changing the ISO, f-stope and shutter speed settings). We will meet at 10:00 am in the NCAR parking lot. If the weather is not suitable, the Meetup will be rescheduled.
For the second part we will meet at 3:00 pm on the next day (Sunday November 17) in north Golden (in a commercial office facility near the intersection of Hwy 93 and Golden Gate Canyon Rd). The meeting is to review our images; there is no scoring or judging, just opportunity to provide constructive feedback to improve our images. The focus is our creativity, not technical minutia although feedback of how to improve technically to capture better images is welcomed. I will provide the building address on Saturday during the photo shoot.
The Meetup is limited to 8 participants; for this workshop the initial sign-up is limited to people who have participated in previous Becoming Better Photographers Coop Meetups. If there are spaces available, registration will be opened to all on November 13.
There is no fee to join the Meetup; please ignore any funding requests from Meetup.
Please only RSVP yes if you can join both parts of the meetup. You are welcome to contact me if you have any questions ([email protected]).
