Have you ever wanted to learn a to play the VIOLIN, VIOLA or CELLO? Or maybe you already play a little and would like a chance to play in a fun, easy and low pressure class. Come join us! We will learn to play the instruments with fun fiddle tunes, pop tunes and easy classical pieces. Open string parts up through more advanced melody and harmony parts for a wide range of levels. Participants need their own instrument and music stand.
No previous experience is required to start but our goal is to create a group where people do practice at home and work to improve their skills.
UPDATE: If there is enough interest, we can divide into two groups. Please pre-register and look for updates on start time!
6:30 - A beginner technique class that introduces the basics of playing the instrument through exercises and simple songs.
7:30 - A more advanced group that focuses more on playing pieces together with multiple parts. Experienced players are welcome to join the beginning class for no extra charge.
Wednesdays at 6:30 / 7:30 starting in October. Located in the Geery Theater, downstairs in the Pease Conservatory of Music. 2130 L Street, Sacramento, CA.
$15 single class (pre-register below) or $50/month with a monthly class pass.

Have you every wanted to learn how to play a stringed instrument? Or maybe you already play a little bit and want to play with others in a fun and low pressure environment. Come join us! It's more fun together!
We will play fun fiddle tunes, easy pop songs and simple classical pieces. Open string parts for beginners, more challenging melody and harmony parts for more experienced players. No experience is necessary to start, but we do recommend that brand new players take at least one private lesson at the start to set up for success.
UPDATE - Due to interest in a class for people already playing their instrument, we are going to offer 2 classes:
6:30 Beginner Technique - no experience required, and we will learn the basics of playing and beginning note reading
7:30 Beginning Chamber Ensemble - for "Advanced beginners" who can play a little already. We will focus more on playing fiddle tunes & pieces but still work on tone, intonation, and general improvement of skills! students in this class are welcome to attend the 6:30 class as well for no extra charge.
Location: The Pease Conservatory of Music, downstairs in the Geery Theater

Materials Needed: Participants need their own instrument and music stand. Sheet music is provided.
