What we’re about
The Hash House Harriers are an International Group founded in 1938 with over 70,000 active worldwide members. We are a running group - we also have walkers as well - that focuses on on the social element rather than just running. This is why we also welcome slow runners, power walkers and other walkers. \
\
Our aim is to bring together local Swiss people and expats who want to socialise and have a bit of exercise at the same time. It's a great forum to meet new friends and potentially travel internationally as we have a large number of International Events. \
\
Members come in all shapes & sizes, races, ages and fitness levels. We cater for young and old, fast or slow, fit or 'not-so-fit'! The main prerequisites are a sense of humour, willingness to meet new people, open-mindedness, tolerance and a general sense of fun. We are mainly English-speaking but most of us can speak (some) German. Most of our Swiss members are fluent in about 4 languages!
We meet regularly every 2nd Wednesday. Anyone can join by showing up at the designated meeting point on the day. We run (about 8km) or walk (about 4km) following a trail set by one of the group (the "hare"). It is like the "hares & hounds" or a paper chase. \
This is definitely fun running/walking, not competitive. Check out our MeetUp calendar for dates of up-coming Runs. For more information, contact Danny Alig Jacobson or just direct your question in a comment to the group. \
