Recap of part 16, act 4. 9/1/24
The party left the house of the cyclops and went to investigate the rest of the Omen domain. Diwa went in bird form so he could get a higher look, and Sly’s owl tagged along. The rest of the party moved out, while Circy started summoning a swarms of monkeys, for investigating fodder. after moving out a few feet sly, Camilla, and her eidolon were hit with a fireball. Most saved, and took minor damage, then they were hit with a stinking cloud, but they took no illness from it, the cloud would still block vision in that area. The attack came from some Clockwork mages, and the party moved to attack them. Diwa changed to a tiger form, and pounced, also drawing all the Clockwork mages to surround him. Camilla, and sly moved in with her eidolon, and Circy started to summon giants. The constructs were hard to hit, but they could not hit either, and their spells were not having an effect on the party. The battle went on for a few rounds, as the party chopped away at the constructs, but soon an Ankou would attack with its shadow conjurations. The Ankou could not hit at all, and they went down before all the clockwork mages.
After the party defeated the last mage, Auberon used his image spell to parley with the party through the broken clockwork. The party listened and Auberon offered them 50,000 gold if they would return his phylactery. Auberon knows the party is after his new enemy Ochymua, the one who gained Auberon’s confidence and betrayed him by taking his phylactery to the Azlanti secret weapon facility once he got the location, (the compass), Auberon gives the party a crude map of where the Compass facility is, and his word to pay 50,000 gold for the return of his phylactery. Circy also wants a guarantee from Auberon that he will never leave the Omen domain, Auberon agrees.
After the parley the party decides to search the other houses, they find a Robe of Blending, and a staff of divination. They also check out the podiums on the porches, like when Diwa did it before they see a vision of a dark haired Taldan man, he is next to Auberon looking at a map. After a bit of pointing, Auberon turns away as a tentacle from the man takes a pale yellow ioun stone from Auberon, the vision ends. The podiums seem to record recent special events, that it turns into visions.
So far, they have an accord with Auberon, but the party can change their minds and destroy both the phylactery, and Auberon.
After the party leaves the Omen domain, they teleport to Jurix in Talasantri to collect the rest of their gold (22,907), and spend, level up to 17,
