Japa Meditation & Improving Relationship with Self

Details

Hari Hari,

In this session, we will begin with 15 minutes of Japa mantra meditation. This practice involves the repetition of a mantra, which helps to calm the mind, center our focus and raise our consciousness and emotional vibration. It sets a foundation for deep reflection and inner clarity.
Adhi-atma Meditation: Following the meditation, we will explore a range of issues that affect our relationship with ourselves (adhyatma). These issues often include:

  1. Negative self-talk: The habitual tendency to criticize or belittle ourselves, which can damage self-worth and hinder personal growth.
  2. Negative self-image: Holding distorted or harmful beliefs about how we see ourselves, whether physically, mentally, or emotionally, which impacts our confidence and interactions with others.
  3. Lack of confidence: The inability to trust in our abilities, which can prevent us from taking risks or pursuing goals.
  4. Lack of self-esteem: A general sense of not valuing oneself, often resulting in feelings of unworthiness or inadequacy.
  5. Lack of authenticity: Struggling to live in alignment with our true self and values, leading to feelings of disconnection or pretending to be someone we are not.
  6. Lack of self-respect: Failing to treat ourselves with kindness, care, or dignity, which can make us vulnerable to unhealthy relationships or situations.

After acknowledging and reflecting on these issues, we will engage in meditation and visualization practices designed to remedy them. These practices include:

  • Visualization of your ideal self: Imagining yourself embodying confidence, self-esteem, and authenticity, helping to rewire your brain's self-perception.
  • Affirmations: Positive statements that replace negative self-talk with empowering thoughts.
  • Inner dialogue: Gently confronting and transforming the negative thoughts that undermine your self-worth.

Through these practices, we aim to cultivate a more compassionate, confident, and empowered relationship with ourselves, allowing us to embrace our true selves with greater respect, authenticity, and love.

In service,

Maha Visnu Mahashay
