The Big Read: Slaughterhouse-Five
Details
Come join us in the park to discuss our Vonnegut's modern day classic.
According to Wiki:
"Slaughterhouse-Five, or, The Children's Crusade: A Duty-Dance with Death is a 1969 semi-autobiographic science fiction-infused anti-war novel by Kurt Vonnegut....The work has been called an example of "unmatched moral clarity" and "one of the most enduring anti-war novels of all time".
Not sure if pdf can be accessed for free anywhere. Some results for free PDF come up, but I cannot vouch for any of them.
However there do seem to be many audio readings on the book on YouTube. Here is one:

Otherwise you can hopefully find at a library or bookstore.
You are welcome to attend regardless of whether you have read,
Please note that if the weather is nice, we will sit outside on the grass (please bring your own rug/chair if necessary) in the area between the Botanical café and the eternal flame pond (near the war memorial).
If the weather is bad, we will try to get a few tables inside the café (in which case, please buy something there so that we can stay there!!)
