Christmas Ride 2024

It'll soon be Christmas time, so let's go for a ride and meet at the Christmas Tree in Martin Place, say hello, have a big hug and wish each other a very Happy Christmas.
It would be great to catch up with as many riders as possible that have been associated with this great club of ours, past and present, even if they are not riding anymore. Spread the word.

Meet at Bar Italia first at 10.00am, then cycle to Martin Place via Barangaroo and Observatory Hill for more photo opportunities,
Arrive Martin Pl before 12 at the Christmas tree for more photo opportunities, then depart for Lord Nelson for lunch at 12.30.

Those that do ride with other clubs let your contacts know about the meet and invite them along, encourage them to do a ride to the Xmas tree.

The plan is to mobilize as many riders as possible, have our traditional ride from Leichhardt; we could also have rides from the North Shore, St George and Newcastle.

I have asked BNSW to participate, they are keen to promote the event; how good would it be to swamp Martin Place with a sea of bicycles?

A luncheon booking for 40 people at The Lord Nelson Pub 12.30pm has been made. Please confirm your lunch attendance by text or in Meetup comments.

I am looking for volunteers, and for Leaders to help lead groups.

I plan to meet for group photos in Barangaroo, Observatory Hill & Opera House.

Decorate your bikes, and yourselves ready to celebrate the festive season with our fellow riders. PRIZES for best bikes/riders.

We plan to meet at the tree, irrespective of the weather. Last year a big group attended anyway, some chose to use public transport due to the conditions. That's fine, just turn up at the tree!
