A long Ride Home

Medium to Hard Grade Ride
We arrive at Waterfall by train after departing from Redfern Station at 7.10 AM, platform 12. From Waterfall we go downhill for about 3 km through the National Park. A fast trip! This is followed by a scenic ride with a 4 km climb in two parts so you need to be fit with good brakes. Leaving at 8.10 AM we head for Bundeena through the National Park stopping for coffee and snacks then catching the last ferry at 12 noon (or earlier at 11) to Cronulla. This is a 20 minute ride. From this point you can catch the train back to the city or ride with me to Tempe, the end point. The full ride is on tarmac and cycle way for about 65 kms. The half ride to Cronulla Station is about 30km but this is the most demanding part of the ride. The ferry is fun!

This trip is weather and ocean swell dependent. If the ferry is cancelled, which is not often, there will be a bus replacement. The ferry accepts cash only so bring $10. Pack LOTS of water.

This ride is for club members and their guests. I will leave a note on the prior Saturday in case things change.
