Moss Vale to Wollongong via Minnamura Station

EARLY BOOKING REQUIRED. PLEASE READ ALL THE TEXT BELOW

A pretty ride with great views for fit and competent riders who can handle hilly runs. Each day we leave our accommodation at 6.30 AM and run mainly on sealed quiet country roads. Stops and short detours will feature as this is a social ride. The early start will minimise traffic and the heat. Please carry at least two litres of water.

Moss Vale
Take the 1.08 PM train from Central on 10 February arriving at 3.35 after changing at Campbelltown and check in to the Argyle Hotel. This will cost you $60 if you share. Rooms have already been booked under “the Gill cycle group”. Explore the historic town and buy your breakfast and lunch for the next day.

Robertson
We leave the Argyle Hotel at 6.30 AM and cycle quiet undulating roads for about 45 km with plenty of stops. Lights on please. The plan is to arrive in Robertson between noon and 1 PM and have a slow lunch till we can check in to the Robertson Country Motel (4885 1444) at $70 a share room for 11 February. You MUST ring and confirm your own booking by 15 December and mention “the Gill cycle group”. Explore the town and buy your breakfast and lunch for the next day.

Minnamura Station
We leave our hotel at 6.30 AM and cycle towards Jamberoo then Minnamura for a 45km run. The road is undulating and very pretty in the beginning followed by a series of short downhill runs. In addition, the road is narrow without an edge so good brakes and concentration will be required. Lights on as well, please. You can then catch a train at Minnamura Station (every hour at 2 minutes past) or continue on to Wollongong for a late lunch and train home (another 30kms).
