Festive Boxing Day Metric B/2/62.4

Ride Description:
This ride explores much of the west side of Tucson, starting at Feliz Paseos Park. We will travel north to Marana as far as the El Rio Preserve, return south on Silverbell before making a trip up the CDO where we will stop at Savaya Coffee.

Towards the end of the ride we will will finish with 5 miles of gradual climbing on Greasewood and Anklam.

This is ride #2 in our Rapha Festive 500 Series.

This is a "Training" ride with everyone responsible for their own navigation. Regrouping will be about every ten miles for a few minutes. If you are further off the pace than that, you will need to navigate to the Savaya Coffee Shop or the finish.

Notes:
Start Time: Arrive by 7:45 AM for sign-in, meeting others, and overview. Wheels rolling by 8:00 AM.
Ride Type: Training. Limited regrouping. Unsupported.
Climbing: 1800 ft.
Pace: 17+ mph final average including stops.
Terrain: Hilly start and finish. Flat in the middle.
Traffic: Bike shoulders and bike paths.

Please obey traffic laws and represent GABA well. Everyone is responsible for their own navigation. Flashing rear lights are highly recommended.
