Winter Solstice Hike @ Little Flat Mountain Loop (Charlottesville)
Details
Join us on December 21st for a hike to mark the Winter Solstice!
We’ll explore 4.5 miles of scenic trails on the Little Flat Mountain Loop at the Patricia Ann Byron Forest Park Preserve in Crozet, Virginia. With 1,237 feet of elevation gain, this hike offers just the right amount of challenge to keep us warm while taking in the peaceful beauty of the season.
This hike is moderately strenuous, mainly due to the uphill to reach the Gibson Mountain Overlook. With the leaves off the trees we should be able to experience some nice mountain views!
