Jean is leading an 8/9 mile way circular walk.

Please arrive at 10:00 for a 10:15 start.

Walking from the Common, past the riding centre and up a small hill and towards Charlton Farm. On reaching the railway line, we walk along here until we reach the Staffordshire and Worcester canal. Continuing along here until we reach the basin.

Here, we stop for a packed lunch on some benches overlooking the river Severn locks. There is also a cafe available here for light refreshments/ hot drinks. Or to sit inside and buy lunch should it be raining and don’t wish to sit in the rain.

After this break, we will resume our walk along the River Severn.

Once we reach a caravan site, we then then head to the top of the hill, where you see some lovely views of the countryside across the river; past a couple of farms and along some country lanes back to the Common.
