Friends! Come out and enjoy a peaceful, beautiful day with friends and family and wave (the bridge is being repaired...) to the 80+ animals at Animal Haven of Asheville! Each attendee should bring a VEGAN potluck dish or dessert (enough to serve 8-10) with serving utensil and ingredients list. Vegan means no animal products of any kind (no flesh, dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, conventional mayo, etc.). Please share what you'll be bringing in the comment section. Guests are welcome -- please add them to your RSVP and be sure to let them know what to bring and emphasize to them that this is a vegan event.
Additionally, to cut down on waste, please bring a plate, utensils, and beverage for your personal use. The suggested cover charge is $10 cash per adult (no one will be turned away though), with all proceeds going to Animal Haven. Kids under age 12 free! We will have Carolina Veg Discount Cards for sale too. The Thrift store will be open so feel free to shop and also to bring gently used donations! This event is rain or shine. Tables and chairs provided.
Take some time to visit and give thanks to each other and to Trina and all of the wonderful volunteers who always, including during and after Helene takes fantastic, loving care of the 80+ rescued animals (ducks, pigs, chickens, goats, rabbits, dogs, cats, and sheep) on site. Animal Haven is a nonprofit organization devoted to rescuing and caring for abused and neglected animals.
We may not be able to save seats for everyone as we have a limited # (maybe bring a camp chair just in case.. or a blanket) Please arrive on time to facilitate sitting with our group. Please remember to update your RSVP in a timely fashion (not in the last few hours before the event) if your plans change -- don't be a no-show! UPDATE: Feel free to bring unbleached pumpkins, cantaloupe, honeydew, apples, watermelon to give the volunteers as yummies for the critters![img](https://static.xx.fbcdn.net/images/emoji.php/v9/t4c/1/16/1f642.png)
PLEASE remember THAT the foot bridge that crosses the creek is not ready for vistors to travese yet so we have to wave to 'em from afar... If you are able to donate add'l funds to AH, here is the way to do so. https://www.zeffy.com/.../150794a8-e681-49a3-969d...
