What we’re about

You can also find us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Black-Nonbelievers...

Black Nonbelievers of Charlotte (BNCLT) is an African-American centered atheist and agnostic fellowship dedicated to providing an informative, caring, festive and family friendly environment. We strive to connect with other Blacks who are living free of religion and irrational beliefs who might otherwise be shunned by family and friends. Instead of accepting dogma, we seek to determine truth and morality through reason and evidence. We do not believe in gods/goddesses, higher powers, the supernatural, astrology, ancestor worship, spirits, ghosts, or healing stones.

Mission Statement
The mission of Black Nonbelievers is to…
• Provide a Black centered secular fellowship.
• Nurture and support Black atheists and agnostics in coming out.
• Promote Black atheist pride.
• Organize nonbelievers for charitable causes.

Meetings
BN members meet to discuss topics relevant to secular living as well as to socialize. As a community we celebrate birthdays, holidays, and other occasions. We offer workshops and other gatherings to educate the public on the views of nonbelievers.
