Day Hike at Stonetown Circular (Ringwood, NJ)

Details

This hike will be 10-11 miles. No prior hiking experience is needed as long as you are in good physical shape, since the distance and some uphill sections can be a bit challenging. We will climb and descend four mountains—Windbeam, Bear, Board, and Harrison—and take in views of the surrounding mountains as well as the Wanaque and Monksville Reservoirs.

Cars will meet at 9:00 am at the Stonetown Recreation Complex parking lot which is about 40 miles west of NYC, off I-287 at exit 55. The hike is estimated to end around 3:00 pm.

Please bring money to pay your driver for gas & toll ($10-$20 per person). We also might stop for dinner after the hike.

If you have any questions, please post a comment. I will email everyone a spreadsheet on Wednesday to organize carpooling.
