Last Minute Day Hike to Minnewaska Park

The weather forecast for this Saturday looks promising! And we haven't been to Minnewaska for a while! It's the last minute, but we still may get a few people interested in coming!

The plan is as usual. We'll leave NYC around 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. We'll carpool and all cars will meet in New Paltz Dunkin' Donuts around 10:00 am. From there we'll drive together to the trail head. The place and distance hiked depends on how we feel, but expect some significant climbs and up to 12 miles of hiking. After the hike we'll stop in New Paltz for dinner. We should be back to NYC around 8 pm.

The number of participants is limited by the number of cars/drivers we have. Please sign up on the waiting list and as we get drivers signed up, I'll move more you to the 'yes' column. I'll share the carpooling signup spreadsheet on Friday morning.

What do you need? Bring at least 1.5 liter of water and some lunch snack. You'll need boots or good sneakers. Bring layers of clothing, preferably synthetic which dries quickly. The weather forecast looks great - sunny, in the lower 60's. But be prepared for wind and cold, too. You'll definitely need some jacket.

Please don't forget to bring cash to pay the drivers for the gas&toll (~$20), entry fee ($12), and for dinner (~$30).
