Simple, Weekly House Church Gathering

For a couple months now, a small group of us have been meeting weekly for worship and communion. Our group desires Christian community and intentional time to sing worship songs, take communion, and grow in our faith. We just want to keep it simple and at the heart of what church really is supposed to be about, without the trappings of policies, programming, or a top-down structure.

Each week, we sing a few songs, share about our week, pray, take communion and either do a spiritual/prayer practice together or discuss a sermon or podcast that we rotate choosing and then listen to on our own during the week.

This weekly meeting is for folks who:

• Desire to grow in Christian faith
• Believe in the triune God
• Value scripture
• Are authentic
• Are able to care for, respect, and be open to mutual learning with other Christians regardless of their political or social views, trusting that we are all seeking Jesus the best we can

This is hosted in a home. We don't do any tithing/monetary practices, just pitch in together on potluck items and picking topics. I work professionally in coffee so I'll have you covered there ;) Tea is also on-hand.
