Please be sure to read the entire hike description and answer the questions that accompany the rsvp unless we have hiked together recently. This is not a good first hike with the group.

My hikes start on time so be sure to arrive early enough to park and gear up.

We will start by heading up Great Blue via one of several trails. We often hike up Great Blue two or three times before heading toward other hills. Expect to emphasize steep hills, which we may mix with some other trails. The distance will be about 6.5-7 miles, we won't take breaks and we will keep our pace on the hills. The route will vary from week to week.

This is not a good first hike with the group. If I have not hiked with you recently please be sure to fully answer the questions that accompany the rsvp, or you may remain on the waitlist. Feel free to message me with any questions,

Every hiker is required to bring a liter or more of water/energy drinks, some kind of pack, and to wear footwear appropriate for hiking (hiking boots or trail runners). After winter weather begins microspikes are required in our packs until spring weather. Poles are helpful for stability. Bring a snack if you will need it. Apart from freezing weather tick protection and a tick check after the hike are strongly recommended.

We do not permit guests on our hikes. All hikers must be members. Unfortunately the Meetup software occasionally changes the default setting and asks if a hiker is bringing a guest. Please ignore that.

COVID-19: While currently there are no specific restrictions or protocols in place, please be aware that this virus is still circulating and people are being infected. So let's not get careless. If you have tested positive, been in close contact with someone who has tested positive, or have recent symptoms, please inform the Event Host and refrain from attending. Err on the side of caution. Also, please respect fellow hikers who might want to exercise extra caution like masking or distancing .

This hike may be canceled or the route altered if weather or ground conditions dictate.
