Details

ROLLOUT by 8:15 AM SHARP
Route: ThurOpt3
Link https://ridewithgps.com/routes/41314702
Ride Leader: David Patterson (626) 665-4053, Janet Berg (909) 615-4360 OR Keith Berg (909) 615-4358

This is a recurring event and I will switch the route between 3 variations of the Thursday route. Any changes will be done a few days before the ride.

Larry20 - The original Thursday ride from way back when, 20.8 miles
ThurOpt2 - Teri's second change taking Fern ALL THE WAY to Riverside, 21.5 miles
ThurOpt3 - Teri's first change that lasted 8 days. Turn on Schaefer from Fern, 21.5 miles.

ThurOpt2: Our usual ride through College Park, along Eucalyptus, but we will wait to turn left on FERN, then left on Riverside to Cypress.

ThurOpt3: Our usual ride through College Park, along Eucalyptus, but we will wait to turn left on FERN, then left on Schaefer, and then a quick right on AVILA to San Antonio. ** to avoid the traffic on the school, we will turn on Chino Ave, not Schaefer. Once we start later we'll go back to the original route.**

DESCRIPTION: Come join us on this low-key level 3 ride. A flat easy level 3 pace around the streets of Chino/Ontario. 20 - 22 miles depending on the route. Perfect for the level 3 rider who rode hard on Wednesday, as well as a 2+ rider as they will find the pace comfortable yet encouraging without inclines.

NOTE FROM THE LEADER: Perfect for new members, recovery riding, but not meant for beginners. That being said, we honor the basic premise of this ride and will not allow it to turn into a hammer fest.

IMPORTANT - BE PREPARED!

  • All Riders MUST bring their own supplies for flat tire repair.
  • Bring Cash or a Credit Card to pay for any unexpected expenses such as bike repairs or transportation home is highly recommended. By not having any way to cover unplanned expenses when something goes wrong YOU shift that financial burden to those who are riding with you or create a situation where you are left stranded, which can lead to awkward feelings.
  • Helmets are mandatory on all BOBIE rides.
  • Bring hydration, spare tube, nutrition and appropriate clothing to be comfortable during the entire ride. (The weather can and will change during the ride).
  • Please be sure to bring a "Road ID" or similar up to date IN CASE OF EMERGENCY INFO list with you on all BOBIE rides to allow others to help you if you are unable to help yourself.

BASIC DISCLAIMER: By being a member of this group or signing up for OR attending any BOBIE RIDE, EVENT OR Function you hereby agree to assume all risks and liability related to or resulting from any and all group functions.
