Wake Up with Deep Stretching, Korean Style!

Details

Don't worry, you don't have to be this limber! Meridian energy yoga can be done by people in most conditions - just do what you can, without straining.

This practice is not Indian yoga; it is from Asian integrative healing traditions and is designed to improve nervous system circulation, breathing and mindfulness, as well as posture, flexibility, balance and mindfulness. A typical class emphasizes opening acupressure points (nerve junctions) and energy meridians (nervous system pathways). Expect a lot of stretching, some core strengthening, also breathing postures and a little moving meditation. Wear loose or stretchy clothes, yoga socks if you have them, and bring a thick mat (or borrow one of ours). Compare how you feel at the end of class with how you felt when you arrived - most people feel refreshed, de-stressed and happier. It's a great way to start taking charge of your health!

We open for check-in and warm-ups at 9:45am, and class is from 10-11am. We hope you'll stay after class for Korean tea and a short sharing time.

Our classes are taught by qualified volunteer instructors, as a community service. We appreciate your $15 donation per class, which pays our rent ~ thanks so much!
