What we’re about

Monday 10am Boldwalks

Who: Boldwalk is open to everyone. Dogs are welcome, as long as they are controlled by their walkers and on a leash. Wheelchairs etc. are welcome.

What: We call ourselves Boldwalkers not only because we often walk on Bold Street, but also because weather or holidays don’t deter us. We walk half an hour, more or less, and turn around. The Boldwalk experience is walking, mingling, and noticing things along the way.

Where and When: Show up at the bench on James Street South opposite Bold on Monday mornings at 10.

How much: There’s no charge for the walk. It is led by Tove Eriksen and Rita Mobarak. Tove lives right near the bench. Her name is pronounced like “stove” without the “s”.

Parking: Parking is on-street, coin-paid, $4 for 2 hours maximum. There are spots on Bold and on James. To avoid paying with coins, you can register with PassPort Parking https://www.hamilton.ca/city-initiatives/online-services-tools-apps/parking-payment-app

Communication: An email is sent out Sunday evenings to confirm that the walk is happening, so you can give Tove your email address. If you don’t okay your address showing on the sendout, it will go in the b.c.c. section, meaning others don’t see the address. You are welcome to just show up, but to confirm that you’re coming, or not coming, or to ask us to wait for you, phone Tove’s cell, 647-765-7178.
