Details

With about 40% of the votes from our last poll, East of Eden is November's pick for the Hamilton Book Club! From Goodreads:

Adam Trask came to California from the East to farm and raise his family on the new rich land. But the birth of his twins, Cal and Aaron, brings his wife to the brink of madness, and Adam is left alone to raise his boys to manhood. One boy thrives nurtured by the love of all those around him; the other grows up in loneliness enveloped by a mysterious darkness.

Many thanks to Brent and Hedwig who will be leading November's book club!

FAQ:

How does this book club work?
You read as much of this book as you can before we meet on the 21st. Whether it's 0% or 100%, or anywhere in between, you are welcome to come out! However, if you haven't started, just be prepared for some spoilers and a good time. Two co-hosts will lead the discussion, including ice-breakers and ratings. Please respect the co-hosts' ability to lead, and be respectful to other attendees.

Can I co-host?
Yes! Provided that you have attended at least one session in-person (so that we know you're real). Please RSVP so that we can check you in, and thus can make a note if you have been to a session in-person! Once the next book is announced, you may message Basma on the MeetUp app to offer to co-host.

How do I know what will be the next book?
After taking all the recommendations at the end of the session (or via the Other choice on the poll), we will disseminate a poll within 48 hours of the book club. Whichever wins the poll is the next pick!

Where can I find you?
Please check the comments on the day of the event to see where we have finalized our spot. We tend to sit on the second level i.e in the back.

We hope to see you there!
