Boomer Babes of Olympia!

We welcome YOU to be a part of this group of vibrant, inspirational, creative and 'knowing women' in our late 50's, and 60's and 70's.

Based in Olympia, Washington, Olympia Boomer Babes hosts gatherings and events each month for friendship, fun, social activities, 'field trips' and bold and authentic conversation.

"Our mission as a group: To provide a safe and caring place for a woman in her late 50's, 60's or 70's, to create bonds that are supportive, loving, uplifting, and, most importantly, crucial to her sense of well-being. It's about prioritizing friendship and keeping each other close."

If you are an accomplished and fun-loving woman who would appreciate new friendships with like-minded women in a non-gossip, supportive, encouraging and 'we do what we say and say what we do" kind of environment, please send us a note of introduction.

We have GREAT gatherings and social events posted and we will continue to build our calendar into 2025. If you have any thoughts, questions or ideas, please message our fearless co-leader, Annemarie.

Here is what is true. This isn't a 'frosting' kind of group.

To create community, bonds and friendship, Babes participate in and attend 2 (or more!) gatherings a month. Each of us 'invests' in our Tribe and the results are reciprocity, love and care and fun!

$30 dues/contribution, (collected as needed, not annually), to cover annual Meetup dues, member gifts, hostess gifts, space rentals, operating expenses, event supplies, group extras, etc.

You'll be asked 3 questions with a request for your phone number. Annemarie will call for conversation, to learn more about you and to share more about our Group. A conversation is requested before membership is offered.

NOTE: If a Babe does not show for an event/gathering 3 times, and does not notify the hostess of a last minute emergency, or take her name off the RSVP list and contact the next Babe on the wait list (each time), she will be removed form our Group. We thrive and grow together, with trust, respect and our personal word.

Participation in Olympia Boomer Babes is at your own risk. By participating, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Olympia Boomer Babes, its organizers (Annemarie Juhlian and Karen Hurley) and other members from all claims or liability of every type (including court costs and legal fees) for injury or death to any person or for damage to property, loss of personal property or any other wrongful act arising out of or relating to your participation as a member. This agreement applies to you and to other persons (as your guests) who may accompany you in these endeavors.

NOTICE AND WAIVER COVID-19, Thurston County, Group Gathering Guidelines: Olympia Boomer Babes (OBB), a Meetup Group, has been permitted to gather, under Washington State’s Phased Approach, Thurston County, and will follow the Governor's guidelines/mandate for gatherings, indoors and outdoors.

OBB is complying with the Washington State COVID-19 requirements applicable to operating as a social group. As a Group Member, I acknowledge that I have read, and I am aware and agree to comply with those policies. I acknowledge that the circumstances regarding COVID-19 are changing from day to day and that such policies may be modified and updated. I accept full responsibility for familiarizing myself with the most recent updates. I agree that participating in hosted gatherings, by OBB, is conditioned on my compliance with those policies.
Notwithstanding the risks associated with COVID-19, I willingly consent to being present at a gathering or gatherings, hosted by OBB, and represent I will not attend an event if I have a temperature, am sick, or not feeling well in any way. I acknowledge that, despite the existence and implementation of such policies, I may still be exposed to and be infected by COVID-19, and I understand and accept such risk. I understand the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at an event hosted by OBB, that may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to Organizer Annemarie Juhlian, Event Host(s) and each Member of the OBB group.

I agree that neither OBB nor it’s owners, co-organizers, managers, officers, employees, members, agents or independent contractors, will be liable for any physical or mental injury, disability, death, economic loss, or any damage arising out of or related to my contracting COVID-19, by attending a Group function/event/gathering. Accordingly, to the fullest extent permitted by law, I do hereby forever release, waive and discharge OBB, and Organizers, Annemarie Juhlian and Karen Hurley, Group Host(s), and such other parties from any and all claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions or causes of action related thereto. I agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless OBB and Organizer, Annemarie Juhlian, and such other parties from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, judgments, losses or expenses of any nature whatsoever, arising from or out of, or relating to, directly or indirectly, my being exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at an event/gathering hosted by OBB, by an event host, group member or representative of OBB.

Vaccinations: Babes must be fully vaccinated from Covid-19, including the booster(s). We are trusting each Babe to tell the truth, so we can all stay healthy and safe, by coming together in 'fully vaccinated' small groups and pods.

Alcohol Policy/Private Homes & Carpool Drivers: At all Boomer Babe sponsored events/gatherings, that are hosted by a Babe at her private home, there shall be no serving or consumption of alcohol/wine. If a Babe graciously offers to drive a carpool for a group-sponsored Babe event/gathering, in accordance with the duties of a ‘designated driver,’ she agrees not to consume alcohol/wine at any time during an event or outing where driving is required.
