Please join us in doubles badminton! This Meetup is only for people who are intermediate and above players - no beginners or near beginners please. If you've only ever played in your backyard, don't know the game rules, don't know how to clear or smash or drop, you're not an intermediate by our definition.
We have 2 courts reserved from 11:30 to 2 pm for a maximum of 12 players. Please come on time.
The fee is $17, which you pay to the Club as you come in. If you are a Club member, you only need to pay $5 to help cover the court reservation fees. Also, please note that you cannot use the 10-pass discount card sold by the Club to non-members.
Please sign up only if you are sure you can make it, or worse case cancel well in advance and no later than a couple of days before the Meetup. If there is a waitlist, canceling the day of the Meetup itself does not leave people on the waitlist enough time to make it. You will be banned if we notice a pattern of booking and canceling or not showing up.
At the same time, please note that if we have fewer than 8 people signed up by the end of the day on Friday, we will need to cancel one of the two court reservations, and close out the registration for the event. So if you definitely plan to participate, please register before Friday.
Please show up on time and bring your own equipment, including racquet, indoor white soled shoes, and feather shuttlecocks. Everything is available for rent/purchase at the Club if you are not fully equipped.
