Who we are:
Boston Hackers is bimonthly meetup for Boston's information security community. Regardless of whether you're a red teamer, blue teamer, student, software developer, or someone just interested in making/breaking things, then this meetup is a place for you.
What we do:
The first Thursday of a given month Boston Hackers meets with a loose agenda:
- 7:00pm-7:30 - Arrival and hangout
- 7:30pm-8:00pm (ish) - Talk/Activity
- 8:00pm-9:00pm - hangout, hack on stuff, talk shop, make friends
Pizza and Beer will be provided, along with some vegetarian and vegan options too!
Staying in the loop:
If you have a talk to you want to give or otherwise want to socialize with other attendees we have a Slack workspace that will be shared at each meetup.
Instructions for submitting a talk for consideration can be found in Slack.
Rules:
- Don't hack the venue
- Don't hack each other (unless consent is given)
- Keep it technical, no sales pitches
- Be good people

Where:
K logix headquarters @ 1319 Beacon St #1, Brookline, MA 02446An event organizer will be outside to let folks in prior to, and a little after, event start.
Travel & Parking:
- Venue is Accessible from the T (green line) via the Coolidge Corner station.
- Street and garage parking are nearby for attendees coming via car.
- There is also a lot behind the nearby CVS (32 Centre Street, Brookline) with metered parking.
Agenda:

- Optional: Bring a laptop equipped with virtualization software (vmware, virtualbox, etc) if you'd like to follow along!
- Note: None of the malware samples demonstrated are dangerous (by design), and are custom-made for the workshop. That said, we don't recommend you getting into the habit of detonating malware outside of a sandbox when dealing with real, dangerous, samples.
