Since its inception in 1999, **VerBaLizAtiOn** has been a staple in the Black poetry community for over two decades, becoming the longest-running open mic gathering in Boston. Started on Veterans Day at a Codman Square café in Dorchester, VerB has built upon its predecessors by providing an open space for poets, spoken word artists, lyricists, vocalists, and even dancers. After relocating from venue to venue for many years, the continuation of open mic events is leading it to reach the special milestone of **TWENTY-FIVE years**.

Join in celebrating this moment with a dose of poetry, rhyme, song, and much more.

In the past, VerBaLizAtiOn has featured one headliner at each event, whether it's a regular session or an anniversary. This time around, it was decided to bring together a collective of previous performers who have graced the mic during VerB's long history.

**PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION:**
From Ruggles Station subway station on the orange line or Nubian Station (10 minute walk) take either bus 15 or 45 to the bus stop across the street from Hibernian Hall.

**PARKING:**
While there's FREE parking in the lot behind Hibernian Hall on Zeigler Street, suggest the following options to avoid the traffic jam when leaving.

1. Free parking along Dudley Street
2. Free parking along Harrison Avenue
3. Free parking along Warren Avenue
4. Free Municipal parking lot across from 57 Warren Street 02119 with vehicle entrance on Zeigler Street
5. Free Municipal (Blair) Parking lot on Harrison Ave with vehicle entrance across from 1116 Harrison Avenue 02119
6. Free parking lot next to the Roxbury Library. Enter the parking lot further down Dudley Street at the Washington Street intersection, towards the police station. Disregard the sign about towing.
