WHITE ELEPHANT BOOK SWAP - Writing Motivation Group

HOLIDAY PARTY BEFORE THE WINTER HIATUS (we will be back in January). Please bring a book to swap with others! Wrap it up tight to preserve the mystery (i.e. this is a white elephant event). If we have time or the motivation to, we will write afterwards. But the main event is trading books and memories!

For those hikers who also enjoy writing about their adventures in the woods, this is for you!

We welcome any style of writing, including but not limited to: journaling, books, short stories, poems, creative nonfiction/essays/memoirs, travel writing, and scripts/screenplays! If you have a writing project you were writing, are writing, or want to write, come join.

The itinerary is thus: brief introductions, write for 20 minutes, discuss any blockers, and repeat until we're satisfied. If there is interest, we can do a small workshop/critique, talk about publishing opportunities, and talk about writing techniques, prompts, exercises, and other useful tools.
