Welcome to the Boulder Walking and Hiking Group!
We are a community of outdoor enthusiasts who love exploring the beautiful trails and landscapes in and around Boulder. Whether you enjoy leisurely walks or short hikes, this is a fun group. Join us for fun outings, meet like-minded individuals, and share in the joy of getting outside and staying active.
We will walk at a pace which will allow us to have conversation. Our events will be suitable for those who can walk a 20 minute mile. On walks we will average 3 miles/hour, to allow conversation. On hikes we will average 2 miles/hour to allow for hills. Bring water and whatever gear you need to each event.
Sometimes we will do a 30 minute yoga practice after our walk or hike, for those interested.
The Leader is not a professional guide or medical professional. By signing up for the group and attending our walks and hikes, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own safety and will do the necessary research to understand your health and fitness level, the terrain, the conditions, and weather. Let's come together to enjoy the natural wonders that Boulder has to offer!
