Background 
Brampton Senior Citizens Club 106 is Brampton's first Seniors Club, established in 1964.

Club 106 is committed to delivering high-quality events and services to our senior community. In 2024, Brampton Senior Citizens Club 106 will be celebrating the 60th Diamond Anniversary and will conducting a wide range of events, activities and community services.

Members and non members are welcome to participate and explore as we aim to promote a holistic approach to senior life, emphasizing physical , social , and mental well being.

Location - Club 106 is an affiliate social group of Flower City Senior Centre.

Mission
The Brampton Ontario Club 106 Senior Citizens Club aims to create a vibrant, healthy, and nurturing community for seniors by implementing the principles of Blue Zone living. Blue Zones are regions of the world where people live longer, healthier lives, and we want to bring those benefits to our senior community. This project plan outlines our vision, key success factors, action steps, measures, and milestones for the years 2024 through 2027.

Our vision is to transform Club 106 into a Blue Zone Community for seniors in Brampton, Ontario, where seniors can thrive, live healthier lives, engage in purposeful activities, and contribute to society.

Key Success Factors
Community Engagement: Active involvement of seniors, families, and the wider community in the transformation process.

Health and Wellness Promotion: Promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being through lifestyle changes and access to healthcare resources.

Sustainable Social Activities: Foster a sense of belonging and purpose through social activities that promote positive interactions.

Education and Learning: Create opportunities for seniors to continue learning and acquiring new skills.

Nutrition and Diet: Encourage a balanced diet with a focus on plant-based nutrition.

Mobility and Active Living: Promote physical activity and ensure accessibility for all seniors.

Safety and Security: Ensure a safe and secure environment for all community members.

Environmental Sustainability: Embrace eco-friendly practices for a healthier planet.
