Welcome to our vibrant community of soccer enthusiasts! Our pickup soccer group is more than just a team; we're a close-knit family brought together by our shared love for the beautiful game. Whether you're a seasoned player or just starting out, our group offers a welcoming environment for players of all skill levels to come together, enjoy the sport, and build lasting friendships on and off the field.

But we're not just about the game. In addition to our regular matches, we also organize a variety of social events that bring our members together in fun and engaging ways. From post-game BBQs and picnics to movie nights and trivia competitions, there's always something happening off the pitch to foster camaraderie and community spirit.

Basic Housekeeping:

1. Safety First: Always prioritize safety on the field. This means refraining from overly aggressive tackles or actions that may cause injuries. Let's remember that it's just a pickup game, and we're all here to have fun. No slide tackling allowed.
2. Attitude: Please bring a positive and respectful attitude. Zero tolerance for fights or abusive language/behavior.
3. Respect Your Teammates: We come from various backgrounds and skill levels. Treat all players with respect, regardless of their abilities. Encourage one another and offer constructive feedback when necessary.
4. Pass the Ball: Soccer is a team sport, and sharing the ball makes the game more enjoyable for everyone. Keep in mind that hogging the ball and attempting to do everything yourself can lead to frustration and hinder teamwork. So, pass the ball to your teammates, and trust that they will do the same for you.
5. Fair Play: Remember that pickup games are not a competition for trophies. Play fairly, and don't exploit the rules. If there's a dispute, resolve it amicably and keep the game enjoyable for everyone. Organizers will be responsible to organize the teams for fair play. At any given time, during a live game, if needed, organizers can shuffle the players to keep a good balance throughout the game and everyone enjoys.
6. Inclusivity: Soccer is for everyone, regardless of age, gender, or skill level. Encourage new players to join in and make them feel welcome. We're a community of soccer enthusiasts, and we want everyone to feel part of the game. We play with rotating goalies. Please do your part to defend.
7. RSVPs and Waitlist: Players must RSVP on the Meetup app in order to play. If you do not clear the Waitlist, or did not RSVP, please do not show up as you will NOT be allowed to join the game.
   1. No-Shows - Please update your RSVPs on the Meetup app (no later than 1 hour before game time) if your plans change so that others can be added to the game. We will track RSVPing players who no show repeatedly.
   2. Arrive on Time: If you have RSVPed, please make sure you arrive within 15 minutes of the scheduled kick-off time.
   3. Game Cancellation: We need a minimum of 10 confirmed RSVPs for the game to happen. If we don't have 10 RSVPs by at least 1 hour prior to scheduled kick off time, game will be cancelled.
8. Leaving in middle of the live game: To maintain continuity of the game, please do not walk off the field during the game unless you are injured or need water. Please try to stay for the whole game. Leaving early is as disruptive as arriving late.
9. Equipment: Please bring water, shin guards, and cleats. Organizers will provide bibs, goals, soccer-balls and cones.
10. Contributions: Your contributions/donations help pay for cones, goals, bibs, soccer balls and meetup subscription fees for the organizers. This is a non-profit community based group, so please contribute by donating minimum of $12 (or more) through meetup app or by paying in cash/vending app.

Remember, the goal of our pickup soccer group is to have fun, make friends, and enjoy the beautiful game. By keeping these guidelines in mind, we can ensure that every match is an enjoyable and safe experience for all.

DISCLAIMER, WAIVER, RELEASE & SAFETY UPDATES
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way, and at any time in a sporting event sponsored by this group, or its related groups, You, the participant and or guest(s):

• Acknowledges and fully understands that each participant/guest(s) will be engaging in activities that involve risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and death, and severe social and economic losses which might result not only from their own action, inactions or negligence, but the actions, inactions or negligence of others, the rules of play, or the condition of the premises or of any equipment used. Further, that there may be other risks not known to us or not reasonably foreseeable at this time.
• Agrees that prior to participating, they will inspect the facilities and equipment to be used, and if they believe anything is unsafe, will immediately advise the event organizers of such condition(s) and refuse to participate.
• Assume all the foregoing risks and accept personal responsibility for the damages following such injury, permanent disability or death.
• Release, waive, discharge and covenant not to do any thing detrimental to this group and hold harmless, its organizers, and its related groups and affiliated organizations, their directors, commissioners, referees, employees, agents, facilities and sponsors from any and all liability or claims, demands, losses or damages on account of injury, including death or damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of this group, or its related "releases" enumerated above or otherwise.
• Whenever possible each provision, term and covenant of this Agreement will be interpreted in a manner to be effective and valid but if any provision, term or covenant of this Agreement is held to be prohibited or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, then such provision, term or covenant will be ineffective only to the extent of such prohibition or invalidity, without invalidating or affecting in any manner whatsoever the remainder of such provision, term or covenant or the remaining provisions, terms or covenants of this Agreement.
• By participating in any of our event(s) and/or communicating with any of its organizers and event hosts, the participant indicates that s/he has read the above waiver & release, understands that they are voluntarily giving up substantial rights by participating in said events.
