As the Old Tolgate has closed, we were trying to find somewhere where we could have a Christmas meal without a disco/party (See the Old Ship Hotel event a few weeks later).

This hotel has however come highly recommended, the food is meant to be really good and they are very accommodating for the gluten free, vegan, vegetarian option people. I have been informed we have made an excellent choice. Therefore, please call the hotel direct if you need anything different to what is on the menu.

They have 13 bedrooms available of various sizes and I know some have already been booked up by our group so I am unsure how many (if any are left) . The cheapest is £135.00 for 2 people (includes breakfast) with the suite being £220 and like the Old Ship there is no single options. I am not sure what else is available nearby, so I suggest you book quickly if you do want to stay.

Places are booking up fast but we still have a few left to get to the limit of 30 people. This is the limit and we cannot b0ook any more. Please note there is no lift, and it is up a couple of flights of stairs so not suitable for anyone with mobility problems. The room is booked from 6pm but we have still to arrange the time we eat but I am assuming around 7:30pm.
