What weâre about
As a meetup group, we are different. We aim to create events for people new to Brisbane in their 20's, 30's or 40's or just looking to expand their social circle generally by attending chilled out events like markets, casual dinners, theatre nights, Sunday sessions, comedy at the Powerhouse, picnics in the park, laneway cafes and gallery openings. The focus of this group is on creating close friendships and making real connections. We are not like other meetup groups in that we are not looking to make a profit, or sell you memberships. We run a limited number of paid events and a limited amount of nightclub/pub events. Instead, we focus on events where you can make genuine connections with new friends in relaxed settings.

NB Our organisers are all volunteers. We ask that you please treat them like your friends. If you canât make an event, please let them know. In the same way that you might re-evaluate your friendship with a friend that persistently âno-showsâ or âlate-cancelsâ, we reserve the right to remove âflakeyâ members - especially if the event required preparation or a reservation. That seems only fair.
We also ask that you upload a clear face pic as your profile pic to help our organisers identify you at our events.
