Welcome and thank you for visiting our group.
As of January 2020 there is a $2 contribution per person per game played. This is to cover the Meetup website administration fee.
This group is as the name says, a group for "Ladies in Brisbane who would like to play social golf" but don't want to play alone or commit to playing club / competitive golf.
This group is best suited for ladies who have had some professional lessons, and / or experience playing on a course and therefore can at least 'hit the ball'.
Our group is about getting out in the fresh air, sunshine, having fun while 'playing our own game' and enjoying the company of others. If you would like advice from other players please feel free to ask - however we do discourage giving other people advice if they haven't asked for it (as this can take away from their 'social' experience).
At all times we respect the etiquette of golf and other players, however if you feel you would like to move the ball to where you would like to hit it from (rather than where it landed) by all means do so. Each Meetup page contains the golf etiquette and expectations of players which is to be adhered to at all times.
The games are scheduled on Sundays, 9 holes walking and we play at a variety of courses around Brisbane. We often stay for a drink and chat afterwards; sometimes we plan a lunch day or a day at a driving range or golf clinic just for our members.
There is no expectation to play every game - although you are more than welcome to.
The main expectation is that you keep your RSVP up to date at all times and that you respect other players (in our group and on the course) and the etiquette of the game.
So come along and have some fun with a fabulous group of ladies just like you.
