Monthly Regular Ride, 20 miles

Details

Regular ride, 2nd Saturday of the Month.

Starting Greggs, Avonmeads, 10.30am

The route is a mix of traffic free and quiet roads. Were stop after junctions and hills to let everyone catch up. The pace will be fairly slow. The last 5 miles of the route is on the Bristol and Bath path, I expect to spread out on this section if you want to go faster. If your stopping at the 2nd cafe, were meet there.

There are 2 junctions early on ride which can be tricky, right turn on a roundabout and right turn major to minor. This ride is not a race, if your more comfortable walking these junctions. See the what3words links below.

This is a good ride for first timers or people looking to catch up with regulars.

Were stop at 'The Little Coffee Shop' Saltford for the main stop, with a 2nd stop at Bakehouse, Old Market.

Please respect we ride in a group and the ride leader has to make
decisions on behalf of the group, these need to be followed.

The ride leader will stop for catch-ups, at junctions and hills. Please do not overtake the leader this generally leads to people getting lost or holds up the group.

Your bike needs to be recently ridden and in good order. You should bring a spare inner tube for your bike. This is to avoid holding up the rest of the group. There is likely to be someone on the ride who can help mend a puncture, although this is not guaranteed. Have a plan is you or your bike cannot be fixed following an incident.
