BCUG Linux User Group meeting: Talk and learn about Linux!
Details
The Linux User Group, a workshop of the Brookdale Computer User Group, meets one a month [except in July and August], usually in the evening of the second Wednesday, to discuss anything and everything about the Linux kernel, operating systems based on the Linux kernel or UNIX kernels, and about free and open source software.
Usually, co-leader Bill Chriss will demonstrate a Linux distro that has caught his eye. Other members can and often give their own presentations. And a question from a member present can inspire long and informative discussions.
While there are not other topics scheduled for this meeting, you never know what will happen at a LUG meeting, and you can bring up any problems you may have with Linux for some very expert advice.
We welcome all: experienced Linux users, those just getting started, and those are interested but have never knowingly used a Linux-based operating system [attn: Android device and Chromebook users].
We hope you’ll join us.
