Book discussion ‘On Photography’ by Susan Sontag
Details
Dear Members,
We are excited to announce our next book discussion! On December 7th, we’ll be delving into On Photography by Susan Sontag, a thought-provoking exploration of how photography shapes the way we see the world—and ourselves. With sharp insights and timeless relevance, Sontag’s essays will spark some fascinating conversations. Even though the book was written well before the era of dogital cameras and smartphones, lots of the author’s insights remain valid (but not all, if tou ask me🙃) and make a great starting point for a discussion.
Event Details:
• Date: December 7th
• Time: 14.30
• Venue: Café Leopold, Rue de Louvain 2, Bruxelles, BE 1000
Whether you’re a budding photographer, a seasoned shutterbug, or someone who loves scrolling Instagram, this book will challenge how you think about the images we consume daily. But don’t worry—if you haven’t finished (or even started) the book, you’re still very welcome to join us for a cosy afternoon of coffee, conversation, and community.
Let’s capture some great moments together—no filter required!
