Making Collage Making Assumptions
“We see the world not as it is, but as we are.”
― Anaïs Nin
Assumptions are part of how we interact with the world. Everybody has them. They facilitate our understanding of the world. However, assumptions can become an obstacle in truly connecting or even communicating with others. Often unconsciously. Getting rid of assumptions can be a long process, but we can all do the first step to check in with the assumptions we do make.
Collage is an art form that is made up of overlapping pieces of material, such as photographs, fabric, coloured and textured paper and other types of mixed media. Through a series of fun collaborative art collage making activities we will explore ways of bringing awareness to our assumptions and what might be holding us back.
We’ll provide all the materials: scissors, glue, old magazines and coloured paper.
Whether you want to dive a bit deeper or just have some fun - all is welcome.
Get ready to experiment, play, meet others and have fun
