MILDRED PIERCE

To make a better life for her family, Mildred (Joan Crawford) bootstraps herself from waitress to wealthy restaurateur, but that’s not enough for her venomous firstborn (Ann Blyth). Mildred says she’ll do anything for her daughter’s love. How far will that take her? Noir meets melodrama in this tale of murder and motherhood from Michael Curtiz (Casablanca).
