PLATOON

As jungle combat quickly dispels rookie soldier Taylor’s (Charlie Sheen) idealism, his unit is caught up in a battle of wills between the principled Elias (Willem Dafoe) and the hard-edged Barnes (Tom Berenger). This searing Vietnam War saga won four Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Director.

This screening will be presented in conjunction with a Cinema Classics Seminar, taught by Andrew Owen, Ph.D. Seating for screening-only attendees will begin at 7:00 pm.
