Bridge Rebuild at The Johnston Farm

Project: Refurbish the existing foot bridge along the canal. We will create a new 48" wide foot bridge that will also allow access for a DR Mower to access points north.

Labor needed: Help carry tools and materials back to the jobsite. Dismantle the existing bridge. Carry out waste materials. Dig and set new foundation blocks. Reset existing wooden poles. Install new planking.

What to bring: gloves, safety glasses, sturdy boots, water, snack.

Parking: Ideally, most can park just off the road in the large grass area and walk the trail back to where the materials and tools trucks will be at the back of the field. Thats about half a mile off the road. From that point it's about one-third of a mile back to the bridge site. For those concerned about the walk, drive on the grass path between the tree line and the field. See attached photo for clarity.
