What we’re about
The Upper Bucks County/Lehigh Valley area has become a hotbed of activity in the beer and wine world in recent years and this group will explore this booming part of our local economy and culture.
There are more than 20 microbreweries in this region and more than 30 wineries. Brewpubs, craft beer bars and wine bars are also fair game for this group. We'll learn about the beer and wine-making process and of course get to sample the fruits of our local entrepreneurs' labors.
Expect monthly meetups, tours, tastings and just hanging out, making new friends and enjoying good times, and maybe some scenic views in the process. Whether you're into beer, wine or both, or just interested in exploring and getting to know the area better, this group is for you.
No dues, fees or cover charges, this is a fun thing for me, not a side hustle.
See you on the trail!

See all- Christmas Cheer in the Christmas City: Artisan Wine & Cheese Cellars--BethlehemArtisan Wine and Cheese Cellars, Bethlehem, PA
We're going to celebrate the Christmas season with a very special event in the Christmas City, so join us as we raise a glass or two of holiday cheer at the Artisan Wine & Cheese Cellars in Bethlehem.
Located in the freight house building in the old Lehigh Street train station complex, Artisan brings a California wine bar experience to downtown Bethlehem. Wine is available both on tap and in bottles. They serve beer, spirits, cheese/charcuterie boards and a full menu from the neighboring Wooden Match. Unlike the Wooden Match, Artisan is no-smoking. A Joe and a Jane provide live music from 6 to 9 p.m. The restaurant is open until 10.
We will have two adjoining rooms reserved. There will be both table and couch seating in these rooms. The setup should allow for some mixing and mingling. Just ask for my name when you arrive. At the venue's request, we are starting when they open their doors at 5 p.m. Because space is limited, I am capping sign-ups at 20 for this. Everyone will be on separate checks, but you likely will have to start a tab with your credit card unless you pay round by round.
Should be a fun and festive evening all around. See you there!
- Starting off 2025 with Wine, at Soaked Winery in WalnutportSoaked Winery, Walnutport, PA
We're going to kick off 2025 by venturing out to Walnutport to try the wines and the country vibes at Soaked Winery.
This is the former Calvaresi Winery in Bernville, Berks County. This is Soaked Winery's original location, in an 1837 German-style bank barn in Walnutport. It recently closed a second location farther north in Milford, PA. They pour a range of dry, off-dry and sweet wines; reds, whites and rose', as well as fruit wines. Food is the standard winery fare: cheese and charcuterie boards, soft pretzels, pizza, etc. Sorry, no outside food allowed.
The rustic, country setting is worth a special trip itself, but the wines are supposed to be pretty good as well. So join us as we chase away the post-holiday winter blues, weather permitting of course.
See you there!
