What we’re about
The Upper Bucks County/Lehigh Valley area has become a hotbed of activity in the beer and wine world in recent years and this group will explore this booming part of our local economy and culture.
There are more than 20 microbreweries in this region and more than 30 wineries. Brewpubs, craft beer bars and wine bars are also fair game for this group. We'll learn about the beer and wine-making process and of course get to sample the fruits of our local entrepreneurs' labors.
Expect monthly meetups, tours, tastings and just hanging out, making new friends and enjoying good times, and maybe some scenic views in the process. Whether you're into beer, wine or both, or just interested in exploring and getting to know the area better, this group is for you.
No dues, fees or cover charges, this is a fun thing for me, not a side hustle.
See you on the trail!

See all- Downtown Easton Wine CrawlEaston Public Market, Easton, PA
We haven't done a wine event in a while and we've never visited downtown Easton, so let's kill two birds with one stone on this day with our first ever Downtown Easton Wine Crawl!
The first stop will be Tolino Vineyards at the Easton Public Market. There are plenty of food options there if you want to make a lunch out of it: barbecue, pizza, noodles, seafood, tacos, etc.
From there, we'll head across Centre Square to the following stops:
I also recommend the Tapestry Lounge & Cafe either for more wine or a cold brew (coffee) for the ride home. And if folks want to check out the views from Thyme Rooftop Grille (they open at 4 p.m.), we can make a stop there too.
Come find out why Easton is the next Bethlehem. See you there!
- From the Lost Cavern to the Lost Tavern: Spelunking and Beer in HellertownLost River Caverns, Hellertown, PA
Before we break for Thanksgiving, I'm going to try to squeeze in one more event and this one comes with a twist. I wanted to revisit Lost Tavern Brewing in Hellertown, site of our second ever meetup in February 2023. Unfortunately, only 4 people attended so it's almost like we've never been there.
But wait, there's more. To work up that craft beer thirst, we're going to start out the day by exploring a different part of Hellertown, going underground at Lost River Caverns. The guided tour there takes 30-45 minutes. Adult tickets are $17 and should be booked in advance. We'll book the 12 noon tour on the 23rd, then repair to the Lost Tavern for some micro-brewed suds. Food truck at Lost Tavern is Oomie ZoOmiez. You may remember them from our Vynecrest Winery meetup last fall. Think Puerto Rican empanadas and other Latin fusion cuisine. It's quite good.
The Lost River Caverns part of the meetup is of course strictly optional. If you're claustrophobic or can't stand the damp, then just meet us at Lost Tavern around 1 or so. The tour is first come, first served. It won't be a private tour for just us.
Either way, it promises to be a fun day, with stories to tell and memories to be made.
See you there!
