Meditation Class: The Joy of Caring for Others
Details
In this meditation class, there will be time to practice calming meditations and to explore some practical, Buddhist teachings.
Specifically, we will look at the topic of how to use meditation when we are caring for others and in our relationship with others. During challenging times we can feel both drawn to service and also overwhelmed by how much need there is and how little we can change. In this series, Laura will explore how to care skillfully, avoid the pitfalls of wearing ourselves out, and practical techniques for sustainable compassion.
Teacher: Laura McPeake has over 30 years of experience practicing and teaching Kadampa Buddhist meditation. Her teachings help her students find lasting peace and happiness by using easy-to-apply analogies, practical examples and life experiences.
