Dear Friends,

Join us for a beautiful morning snow/ice hike through pastoral farm fields with a view of the Slocum River Reserve in South Dartmouth, and get to know people better while eating at Scuttlebutt Padanaram, 10a Bridge Street, Dartmouth.

We can hike the 3-mile trail and enjoy nature depending on the conditions. Please make sure you have hiking boots for the snow or whatever the conditions require, hiking poles if you have them, dress warmly, and bring money for eats. Directions to the hike:

Coming from the East or the Cape: Take I-195 to exit 22A toward Faunce Corner/Mall Rd/N. Dartmouth. Stay on Faunce Corner Rd/Chase Road until you get to Russells Mill Road and turn right. Go 2.5 miles on Russells Mill Road/Horseneck Rd., and the destination will be on the left. Roadside parking is not allowed.

From Rt. 140 South, turn right onto Rt. 6 West. At the third set of traffic lights, turn left onto Old Westport Rd. and follow for 0.4 mi. Bear left onto Chase Rd. and follow for 3.6 mi. to end. Turn right onto Russells Mills Rd. and follow for 1 mile through Russells Mills Village and straight onto Horseneck Rd. Follow for 1.4 mi. to the entrance and parking (10 cars) on the left. Roadside parking is not permitted.
