Cairns Social Group FNQ (CSG) members are (50+ years) welcoming, adventurous and engaging. We have strict protocols and rules which ensure enjoyable event participation.
BEFORE requesting membership, please read the following in its entirety to see if this group is suitable for you:
Your profile name must show your legal first name and a photo that is clear, recent and only of your head and shoulders, (no hats, no sunglasses, no obstructions, no pets or other people).
When requesting to join, your photo and the answers to the 5 questions are reviewed by an Organiser in consideration your membership request.
Once a member, you must have email notification turned ON for Cairns Social Group FNQ at all times. If the Organiser(s) is/are not able to contact you, or you do not respond promptly, membership may be revoked.
Membership is free and a privilege granted by the Organisers at their sole discretion.
PARTICIPATION STANDARDS:-
RSVP
(1) Wait Listing is a commitment to go at short notice, you must remove yourself from Wait-list if you cannot attend the nominated event
(2) Cancelling the day before without providing the Host an acceptable reason via PM is a "No Show"
(3) The Guest feature is not always available for CSG FNQ, all regular participants must be a current member.
DO's & DON'T's
(A) Only make comments that are beneficial to ALL attendees; use Event Chat for all else
(B) Don't make comments that you "can't go" for whatever reason. Personal Message (PM) the Host if it is important)
(C) Use PM when contacting your Host or responding to Car Pooling and the like
CONTINUED MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
(a) New members must attend their first event within 30 days of joining and another event within 60 days.
(b) Regular members need to attend an event at least once every 4 months
(c) Notifications must be turned on at all times for CSG FNQ.
(d) Members must continue to display a compliant photo. Refer to Photo Standards
MEMBERSHIP MAY BE REVOKED WITHOUT NOTICE IF A MEMBER
(i) Displays a photo which is non-compliant
(ii) Accumulates a total of 3 "No Show" (refer rule (2) above)
(iii) Does not respond in reasonable time to a PM from an Organizer
(iv) Displays signs of unwanted attention, annoying mannerism or inappropriate behaviour to other members
(v) Intimidates Venue Staff, Participating Members or members of the public
(vi) Publicly makes negative comments or dissects any aspect of an Event handling
EVENT HOSTING PROTOCOL
Event Hosting is in accordance with Event Hosting Rules

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:
The participation standards are enforced in their entirety for all attendees.
Unfortunately, it is a common occurrence that standards (particularly photo requirements) are ignored.
CSG FNQ has zero tolerance to inappropriate behaviour and there are NO second chances. Membership will be revoked immediately.
Do not remain a member if unable to attend regularly, please remove yourself until able to participate again.
Members who are removed by the Organiser may also, depending on circumstances, be banned from re-joining.
