I started this meetup to connect with creative people who are looking for a platform where you have encouragement to grow and let go of the fears that are holding you back. All of you were born to become legends and this group embraces our uniqueness, helps to strengthen your weaknesses, encourages self love, strengthens self worth and confidence and helps you overall develop into the legend you were meant to be. Together we will share laughs, tears and overcome barriers. Together we will develop into our best version. Together we were meant to be, a team is stronger than a solo artist. Join me in your journey to becoming your best, truest self, whether that’s as an actor or just to grow. We love helping people.
Join us for a variety of fun and interactive acting and improv classes. Focus is on building an ensemble within the group through improvisation games, which will improve focus, concentration, comfort in social settings , improve public speaking skills and improving confidence... and SO much more.
Our classes have Calgary's best and most invigorating teachers that are sure to light a spark in you. We only hire the best to ensure that we are getting the best out of you, all while having the time of your life. Our classes will leave you feeling inspired, determined, confident and happy.
What you can expect: \
> You will play improv games and learn basic rules followed by a learning lecture amd then into groups you go to rehearse…. Performance at the end of class. \
Most of what you do in an improv class is in a group and most learning will be done by doing games, exercises and scene work. \
> You will have so much fun and will laugh a lot. Yes, you probably are scared, but trust us, you are going to have fun. You don’t have to be funny. I think a lot of people who are taking their first improv class think they have to be funny, no you don’t. You are there to play and work as an ensemble with the other students. \
> It is 100% Normal to be afraid. Being scared is ok and natural. Don’t use this as an excuse to quit or think that there is something wrong with you. Fear is good. It means you’re trying something new! \
> You don’t have to want to do this for a living \
That is right, you don’t have to want to be on SNL to take an improv class. Learning how to be more silly, spontaneous and outgoing is a great skill to learn at any age in life. \
> You will make friends with similar people \
Our students always make great friendships in our classes. You work together with like minded people creating an art form. Warning: Sometimes the people you meet in improv classes can become friends you’ll have for life. \
