Take your playing to the next level! In this intermediate series, you’ll learn how to enhance popular four-chord songs by adding expressive techniques and arranging skills to make each song your own. Over six weeks, we’ll dive deeper into chords, melody, and creativity, helping you build a richer, more dynamic sound.

Each week, we’ll explore:

🎵 Advanced & Alternate Chords: Go beyond the basics with new chord shapes and variations to give songs a fresh twist.

🎵 Chord Substitutions: Learn how to swap chords to create more interesting sounds and add a unique feel to familiar songs.

🎵 Creating Melodies: Discover how to add melodic lines to your playing and bring out the song’s main hooks.

🎵 Treble String Power Chords & Octaves: Add punch and energy with these powerful shapes that add drive to your playing.

🎵 Chord & Scale Relationships: Understand how chords and scales work together, helping you improvise and create seamlessly.

🎵 Arranging Your Own Parts: Combine everything you’ve learned to create unique arrangements that let you express each song in your style.

We’ll dive into songs like Already Gone, I'm Yours, Hey Soul Sister, With or Without You, Don’t Stop Believin’, Country Roads, Save Tonight, Snow (Hey Oh), When I Come Around, and more!

👨‍🏫 Instructor: Bob Dunn
Bob is a musician who has been playing guitar since 1977 when his grandma gave him first guitar. Since then he has continued learning technique, theory, teaching and performance.He has performed in Canada, USA, Taiwan and Malaysia.He is a graduate of the Douglas College Music Program with an emphasis in Classical Guitar and interests in piano and voice/choir. However, he enjoys playing many different styles and genres of music. You can find him occasionally performing around town as Busker Bob or on social media.
