Explore Bow Valley Ranch in Fish Creek Park next Friday (September 20) at 10:30am. Wear good footwear to walk 6.5 - 7 kms on paved pathways and natural trails for 1.5 - 2 hours. The Ranch House in the photo (above) was built by cattle rancher and businessman William Roper Hull around 1896. He later sold it to Patrick Burns in 1902. Today it's a restaurant.

**At 10:30 am, meet at the red barn across from the parking lot in Bow Valley Ranch, located at 15979 Bow Bottom Trail Southeast**
Directions: Take Bow Bottom Trail south past the Bow Bottom Trail and 146 Ave SE intersection until the Trail narrows to one lane. At the sign for Annie's on your right, turn right. You will see a wood with the Bow Valley Ranch name. Drive past it and park. The red barn is across from the parking lot.

**What to bring/wear**
In sun: Sunscreen/sunhat
In rain: Backpack with rain jacket, rainhat/jacket, rainpants, rain poncho, or umbrella if there's no wind.

Also bring:

* Water to drink
* Good walking shoes or hiking boots
* (Optional) ski poles or a walking stick for balance
* Bear spray and first-aid kit (if possible)
