Meet Alice at 1:00 pm by the parking lot in front of Seasons of Bowness Park restaurant. The building is beside the lake.

We will start from the parking lot with well maintained paths. Once we cross the paved path under Stoney Trail Bridge we will continue on dirt pathways to enter Wood’s Douglas Fir Tree Sanctuary, home of some of the few remaining Rocky Mountain Douglas fir trees in Alberta.

**What to bring**

* Hiking boots or proper walking shoes (no sandals)
* Water to drink
* Walking poles if you wish for balance and support
* Bandaids for blisters or first-aid kit
