Chess Club

The Chess Club meets every Tuesday at 4:00 pm in the Teen Section of the Library. The Chess Club invites players of all ages and skill levels. We teach newcomers to the game how to play, and we usually have more advanced adults on hand to play each other. On the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month, noted chess expert, Shawn Ramey, will be on hand to play advanced players and to coach players of all ages and skill levels.

Directions

The Calumet City Public Library is at 660 Manistee Ave. If you know where the River Oaks Mall is, go north on Torrence Ave. from the mall until you reach 154th St., also known as Pulaski in Calumet City. Turn right (east) at 154th/Pulaski and go two short blocks. On the left you'll see the fire station and the police station. Go around back of the fire station. We're just behind the fire station. Manistee Ave. is between the fire station and the police station.
